AUTOCAD
Learning AutoCAD is not as hard as you may think. I always say if can draw a line and a circle you can digitally draw anything on a computer using a drawing program such as AutoCAD distributed by Autodesk .
I can still remember to this day when I was learning Auto Cad for the first time. The company I was working for had a consultant come in to teach a few people CAD. At that time CAD was fairly new to the Architectural market and other design disciplines.Transitioning from manually drafting to a a digital base format I believe the consultant was not connecting to the the new group of AutoCad learners, but keeping his information close to secure his consultancy at the company for as long as he could. Continuing the story his teaching method was somewhat to be desired. I found out through my own trials and tribulations trying to learn AutoCad, he made program more difficult to learn than it needed to be. His teaching style was not straight forward and was hard to follow. I believe when teaching anything try to make the process of conveying the information and content as simple as possible in order build the basic foundation and confidence to learn a desired program. You need to first capture the interest of a student to make the task/program at hand achievable to master. Today with so many resources on the Internet to learning CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting) you are just clicks away to get a general knowledge for the basics to begin a career in CADD.
